Our society is pocked with problems, ranging from violence against women and minorities to stereotypes which have been perpetrated throughout history. We silence women, hang our mentally ill out to dry, and ravage our planet over petty disputes. Through this collection of poems, I've tried to lend a voice to the unheard, and spread awareness about these issues, in the hope that someday we will see change.
A poem from Rotten:
Argus*
Skin pocked with eyes
Clothed but naked,
Guarding the sacred moon.
Coveted by one sex,
Shamed by the other,
She walks down a street.
